Help & setup
From your first settings to the storefront: set up Labelklar step by step.
1. Prepare your settings
- Open Labelklar in Shopify. For the public app, first approve an available plan with Shopify; the free GWA plan is shown only to authorised client stores. Then select the labels you want to show.
- Choose a compact or expanded initial view and set the outer spacing.
- Select automatic storefront language or a fixed language. Choose a fallback for unsupported storefront languages.
- Check desktop and mobile previews. The preview uses a sample product and does not change a product’s actual guarantee.
- Enable the product display and save settings.
2. Place the block in your theme
- Open Online Store → Themes → Customize and select the relevant product template.
- In a section supporting app blocks, select Add block → Apps → Gewährleistung & GARAN (the current block name).
- Place the block near the purchase area and save the theme.
- Open a product using this template. Verify that the information is visible and opens fully on the first click or tap. Check every product template you use.
3. Set up GARAN for a product
The GARAN fields and terms link do not constitute a complete producer guarantee statement. Labelklar does not generate or send a guarantee statement or order confirmation. Delivery and retention of those documents must be configured separately.
- Search for the product under Products and open its GARAN details.
- Enter the brand or producer, model identifier, whole guarantee years and a publicly accessible HTTPS link to the guarantee terms.
- Confirm each requirement using the producer’s documentation: producer guarantee, free of charge, entire product and information supplied by the producer. The guarantee must exceed two years; this version supports 3 to 99 whole years.
- Enable GARAN for the product and save. Names that exceed the original artwork’s text fields are rejected.
- Check the small graphic, full view, details and terms link in the storefront. Ready indicates complete product data, not a verified theme installation.
4. Legal guarantee notice in Shopify Plus checkout
- Open Checkout in Labelklar. The feature is available for supported Shopify Plus checkout steps and is switched off initially.
- Enable the checkout display, select the language and save.
- In Shopify, open Settings → Checkout and edit the relevant checkout configuration. Add the Labelklar app block at a supported position.
- Preview the display and opening of the complete legal guarantee notice. Publish the edited checkout configuration according to your own approval process.
- Check both standard and accelerated purchase flows separately. GARAN, order confirmations, thank you pages and order status pages are outside this extension’s scope.
Labels are missing
- Are the product display and the relevant label enabled and saved?
- Is the app block present in the published theme and the product’s actual template?
- For GARAN: is the product enabled with valid details and all requirements confirmed?
- Do variants have different guarantees? Separate variant guarantees are not supported yet.
Saving or language behaves unexpectedly
A save conflict means another session changed the data. Review your draft, explicitly load the current version and reapply your edits if needed. Unsaved entries are not automatically overwritten.
The admin language applies to this browser. Storefront language is configured separately. If browser storage is blocked, you can still change the admin language, but the choice may be lost after a reload.
Disable or uninstall
To hide labels temporarily, disable the relevant product or checkout display and save. You can remove app blocks in the theme or checkout editor at any time. To cancel completely, uninstall Labelklar under Settings → Apps and sales channels.
An ended plan blocks access to administration and saving new settings. Previously saved labels remain in the store until the app blocks are removed or the app is uninstalled. For scheduled cancellations, access continues until the end date confirmed by Shopify.
Local session records are deleted when an uninstall or shop-redaction webhook is successfully processed. This local deletion does not explicitly delete metafields stored at Shopify. Contact support about remaining product details or data deletion.
Prepare a support request
Include your shop domain, theme and version, affected product URL, language, steps to reproduce and the visible error. A cropped screenshot without customer information helps. Do not send passwords, access tokens or order data.
